Just a few of homebrewers/friends, who's hobby and passion has gotten completely out of control. While brewing together we soon found out that we all didn't just share a passion for beer, but also a birth year...1977. Starting with a 5 gallon pot just a few years ago, it soon lead to a 15 gallon "keggle" set up...to a 1 BBL set-up...and now a 2.5 BBL system!!!

We spent time getting our feet wet (sometimes literally) by brewing with the 330 Brewing Co-op in Akron. Honing in a few recipes there and some others that friends kept asking to make. Now we are now bringing brewing back to Navarre, OH. Navarre is a great little town which sits on the old Ohio-Erie Canal (which used to run through our parking lot!). We are on a mission to become a local spot that Local's can be proud of!

Navarre did have a brewery, which started around 1850, and appears to have had more owners than beer styles. Changing hands several times, it finally closed in 1876. Meaning Navarre hasn't had a brewery since 1877.

Our little spot was built around twenty years later (just a stones throw from the Hug Brewery's original location) and started life as a house. Since then it has been feed storage, a farmers market, beauty salon, 2 pizza shops, and most recently a flower shop. Being employed full time and having young families, we had to have more vision than money. Starting in July of 2019, we have been working almost every weekend to bring you our vision of this century's local bar, the local micro-brew house. So from us born in 1977, we give you and the Village of Navarre something that hasn't been seen since 1877, a local brewery.  YOUR local brewery... '77 Brew House.

Cheers!
